Get your earbones ready for a mixture of beef, silk and spacey. And other adjectives!
It’s been a long time coming, like a year or more or something. Very humbly present an over-the-top big beat monstrosity called Ocelot
It’s tongue in cheek in the same way the narwhal’s horn is a mutant tooth that erupts from its own face.

If you don’t know who Bernard Purdie is you’d be forgiven even though I think it’s a crime he’s not a household name.
But I’d bet my life that you’ve heard (and loved) a track he’s played on, seeing as he’s the world’s most recorded drummer. He’s the drummer that every part of my being would love to emulate, with such an obvious enthusiasm for percussion that’s nigh-on impossible to ignore.
One of his signature grooves is aptly named the Purdie Shuffle. There are some great tutorials on youtube that deconstruct his style admirably, but it’s only when you see it for real that you experience the joy that he finds and transmits when he plays.
I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve watched this clip
So this internet person called Senior Slug is making something cool every day.
Thanks for including the snippet of lazy-ass strip joint, and keep making cool things :)
